Player of the Match - Harry Pymm

Stokenchurch Juniors 5 – 4 Penn Rangers U12

The boys done good. A muddy pitch hindered both teams but it was Penn Rangers that made use of its full width. Plenty of running from all the players, we were especially effective out on the wings. Where Luke, Frank, Zach and Ben constantly out-paced the Stokenchurch defence. It was from this attacking style that Penn Rangers scored all of their goals.

AFC Spartans 5 – 1 Penn & Tylers Green FC (A)

The Rye is a large level open space to the south-east of the town centre and was the flood plain of the River Wye. Since medieval or even Saxon times it has been used by the people of Wycombe for common pasturage, for recreation and for special events. Well some of these special events took place today in awful weather conditions. The home team did well to get the game played, officiated by R Lipscombe, who had an excellent game.

Penn & Tylers Green Reserves 2 v 1 Milton United Reserves

A capacity crowd greeted the players on this typical grey afternoon at French Meadows. On the back of a humiliating defeat to Hazlemere Crusaders, Penn & Tylers Green had a chance to resurrect their season against tricky opponents Milton United. The team was led out by defender James Beaumont in the absence of regular captain Michael who was performing water carrying duties for the first team.

U11s back to winning ways

Marlow Town 1 – 4 Penn and Tylers Green

The U11s moved up to joint third in the table with a convincing away win at Marlow Town. With no subs available and a number of players playing out of position, the U11s faced a difficult away game to a Marlow side that had beaten us earlier in the season at home.

A Big Win on the Road

Farnborough Reserves 1 – 2 Penn & Tylers Green FC

We travelled to Bisley to play Farnborough in need of a win as we were 2 points behind them in the league and a win would ensure moving up the table. The first half looked unlikely that it was going happen as we struggled to cope with their formation and a big pitch and soon went one behind.

Clash of the Titans

Posted: February 13th, 2011 by Fergus

Titans 2-2 Penn and Tylers Green FC A

Penn and Tylers Green A shared the spoils with Titans on a typically wet and bumpy Derehams Lane pitch. Penn came into the game off the back of a heavy defeat against Missenden and were looking to bounce back to winning ways. With a stronger squad than against Missenden, Penn felt they had every chance of picking up three points.
