Girls Booted into Touch!
Posted: April 16th, 2011 by Fergus
The burly rugby players of the Northampton Saints have dashed the hopes of Penn & Tylers Green u12 Girls of a great day out at Stadium MK for their Bucks County Cup Final against Chesham United on 1 May. The Saints hard fought victory over Ulster last weekend has given them a home semi final in the Heineken Cup against Perpignan which the ERC organisers have stipulated must be played at Stadium MK on that Sunday.
Check out this link – http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/12988876.stm – we agree with the Saints fans!
Bucks Girls Football League Secretary Lisa Welling has worked tirelessly all week to find a suitable alternative venue and it now appears likely that all the girls finals will take place at Chesham United’s home ground The Meadow, Amy Lane, Chesham on 1 May. Kick Off time TBC.
Thanks
Dave
