PTGFC U7 Team 1 vs GX&F

Team 1, match 1 were put under first half pressure from GX & Fulmer but a solid defence from Ted Manning, Thomas Tarry, Joe Dent and Oakah Htun and ‘cat like’ goalkeeping from Ben Widdowson didn’t allow the opposition to score. It was Harry Doyle who caused huge problems for the opposition coming close a number of times until he eventually scored after a mazy dribble. Joe Dent hit the post later in the match, and Harry always looked like scoring. Despiet greta second half defence from Rhys Medd and an excellent save from Jack Faraday GX and Fulmer scored a late goal.

Team 1, match 2, saw a tiring P&TG go down to an early goal from GX & Fulmer whilst Harry Doyle continued to trouble the opposition. Edward Hooper, Joe Dent and Rhys Medd started to get into the game making tackles and each having runs of their own. Despite persistent work GX & Fulmer scored two break away goals. Place kicking was accurate and powerful from Ted Manning but it was left to the goal scoring hero Harry Doyle to snatch a consolation for P&TG.
