The football was good with lots of fun

The football was good

Many thanks for all the support over the weekend.

It was great to see the club represented from the seniors all the way through to the juniors with helpers from the 1st Team, Reserves, A-Team, Youth Team, Junior Boys and Girls, Mini Football all the way through to our Fantastic Footballers.

The Medal Presentation

The tournament ran very smoothly with lots of happy children, parents and grandparents. We have received complimentary comments throughout the weekend and indeed after the tournament. We were also fortunate to survive any really poor weather that blighted last weekend and the weeks before. The standard of football was very good and above all it was fun for everyone taking part.

Says this year’s Tournament Director James Keating (his second year in charge of the event):

More good football

“Can I please pass on my thanks to all parents (and sometimes children) that helped staffing stalls over the weekend (especially during the wet Monday session)? Without them we could not have run the tournament”.

The Cups and Medals

Also there were the usual helpers who spent Friday evening and all day Saturday to set up, with early shifts and long hours on Sunday and Monday to ensure smooth running of the event and Monday night to dismantle all “the evidence”.

St John's Ambulance

St John's Ambulance

We must not forget, of course, our friends from St. John’s Ambulance who patiently waited for anyone needing their help over the two days (luckily there were no serious injuries to report).

Let the planning begin for next year!!!!
