Good workout for the boys
Posted: July 28th, 2012 by AndreasPenn & Tylers Green FC 2 – Holyport FC 2
On a hot summer’s day another pre-season friendly for the First Team went well. In an entertaining match both teams played some good football and four good goals added to the entertainment for the spectators.

- Warming up before the Holyport game
The pick of the bunch was Liam Ratcliffe’s volley in the second half; what a goal.
Earlier in the first half Ben Vicos scored another fine goal with a chip from the edge of the box after Rino Sepede’s effort was blocked by the Holyport keeper. What was pleasing from our point of view was the fact that the new boys and the youngsters appear to have settled in well and are forming an understanding with the longer serving players. All in all this was a successful day out at the office.
Thank you very much to our friends from Holyport for making this a good competitive game. It was also nice to see Jamie West back at French School Meadows.

- John Grimsdell – Accredited to deliver
On another aspect we are proud to announce that our new physio John Grimsdell is the first member of Penn & Tylers Green Football Club who is accredited to be part of the team delivering a certain event near Stratford in an area near the only creditable team in the East End (Leyton Orient FC).
We have the picture to prove it (I have to be careful about the narrative as copy right issues appear to be bit pathetic right now). Well done Grimmo.
