Damien can't bear to watch

Well Done Darren, Damien, Simon & Mark

Penn & Tylers Green FC are proud and delighted to announce that the four coaches who embarked on the FA Level 2 coaching course way back in the summer all successfully completed their final assessments last weekend and all passed with flying colours. So, our congratulations go to:

Darren Jones, Damien Payne, Simon Willmott and Mark Logan.

Delighted Chairman Tony Hurst commented:

A very smart Mark

Increasing our level two coaching database was one of our main AGM agenda items back in June and to put four coaches at once on the level two course is a milestone and a first for our club, as we have never done this before.

Old Bore No 2

Chief Litter Picker Andy Walker

He is a true clubman through and through, having managed a Penn & Tylers Green FC side from Mini Football all the way to Youth Team glory winning the Cup in his last season of Management.

PTGFC U7 Team 1 vs GX&F

Posted: October 4th, 2011 by Fergus

25th September 2011

Team 1, match 1 were put under first half pressure from GX & Fulmer but a solid defence from Ted Manning, Thomas Tarry, Joe Dent and Oakah Htun and ‘cat like’ goalkeeping from Ben Widdowson didn’t allow the opposition to score. It was Harry Doyle who caused huge problems for the opposition coming close a number of times until he eventually scored after a mazy dribble. Joe Dent hit the post later in the match, and Harry always looked like scoring. Despiet greta second half defence from Rhys Medd and an excellent save from Jack Faraday GX and Fulmer scored a late goal.

Thame Youth   2 – 3 Penn Rangers

That’s more like it. With several players away playing hockey we had to shuffle the pack. Tom Poulton and Connor moved into the central midfield positions in a 4-4-2 formation. The passing and the movement was excellent at times and we carved out chance after chance. However, we had just the one goal to show for it by the interval. A great finish from Will who was paired up top with Ed.
