There was an unusual pitch invasion during the game versus Milton United at French School Meadow this afternoon; chicken.

The chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a type of domesticated fowl, a subspecies of the red junglefowl. It is one of the most common and widespread domestic animals, with a total population of more than 19 billion as of 2011. Humans keep chickens primarily as a source of food, consuming both their meat and their eggs. But the humans who own these two specimens (one of the neighbours next to French School Meadow) did not realise that they had escaped from their garden.

Well, as nice as they were, it was nevertheless an unusual matter to deal with today and we had their company all afternoon. They seemed to feel a special attachment to our Chairman; not sure if they got on that well with the Secretary.

They just about kept away from the pitch but they did not even buy a programme let alone pay the entry fee. We do not want to over-egg the pudding with this story but we could not chicken out of it either.
