Henley Town FC have resigned from the Uhlsport Hellenic League with immediate effect
This was indicated in a phone call to the League and has been confirmed in writing and League Chief Executive Officer Brian King has responded to the club accordingly. As Henley Town have only completed 50% of their scheduled One East fixtures there will be a need to expunge their playing record for the 2017-2018 season. This will be undertaken by the Uhlsport Hellenic League in due course.
Henley Town FC Secretary, Lawrence Tindell stated: “It's with regret that the Henley Town FC first team in the Hellenic League have been withdrawn from the Division One (East) league with immediate effect so, therefore no fixture will take place.”
Here at Penn & Tylers Green FC we feel that it is a great shame to witness another traditional club’s demise at this level of football. We feel for them. Does anyone at higher levels of football take any notice?
Needless to say, that our away game this Saturday at The Triangle has been cancelled.
