Penn & Tylers Green FC Under 18 Girls moved to the top of the Thames Valley Counties Women's Football League North table on goal difference after a high scoring match with Tattenhoe. The highlights included a memorable goalkeeping performance from stand in keeper Josie, a return to competitive action for one of our longest serving players Lara and a hat trick for Chloe, which capped off her return from injury.

There were also goals for Elise (2), Emily (2), Tilly (1) and Becca (2) which included the goal of the game with a sweet strike from outside the box. The Penn & Tylers Green FC defence was a little frustrated on the day after conceding three first half goals and then in the second half, as the defence pushed further forward, Amber, Fin and Meg all rattled the post. In fact, the sweet ring of the metal post was heard on seven occasions much to the amusement of some of the spectators. It was particularly pleasing to see the improvement in Penn & Tylers Green's passing and attacking play with Rhiannon particularly prominent from full back in pushing forward.

It's very early days but the girls have made an extremely encouraging start to the season, however our aspirations will be fully tested at home next week against perennially strong Chesham United."
