Very wet Sunday

With the fixture touch and go following the recent inclement weather, we  came up against a team known for playing good football and of high  quality. This showed as within 10 minutes Risborough took a deserved  lead following early pressure, and with Penn & Tylers Green''s defence ball watching,  cutting through easily and following up Charlie Bunce''s parried save.  Straight away Penn & Tylers Green equalised through Daniel Broderick with a exquisite  finish into the top far corner following excellent pressure from Jenson  and Ethan. The game was end to end with little showing between the  teams. Penn & Tylers Green went 2-1 up, again through Daniel Broderick, before  Risborough equalised. Just before half time Daniel Broderick completed  his hat-trick showing great strength to hold off the challenge of the  defender before firing home.

Orders  for the second half were to tighten up defensively with the midfield  holding slightly deeper to thwart the Risborough attack. Within  seconds of the restart Penn & Tylers Green found themselves 5-2 up with goals from  George Darvell, his first a well worked move down the left from Daniel  picking out an unmarked George and with a quick touch, slotted home into  the bottom right corner. Further goals from Captain Serge (2), who  should have been in Thame, Jenson, an own goal and a 25 yard strike from centre  back Coran Beckett rounded off an excellent result in difficult  conditions and against an opposition who fought till the end.
